In order to obtain further information or make time for an interview please phone 88624400. Students are required to attend an interview and bring a folio of recent work, plus evidence of previous study/ experience. Interviews will be conducted in late November and December, and in January.

As a registered private TAFE provider we offer the 1st year Diploma of Visual Arts. This course provides full time training for post year 12 students who wish to develop their skills and understanding in order to pursue a career and/or further studies as artists/designers. This is achieved by a study of relevant practical and theoretical units developed in conjunction with industry. Application Procedures

The TAFE course in Visual Arts is for young people who have a strong desire to pursue a career in some facet of the art / design industry. The course may also serve as a foundation year of study for art students wishing to prepare a folio and increase their expertise for application for tertiary studies. Students completing the Diploma will be eligible for selection for entry into the second year of the Diploma of Visual Arts, at any TAFE institution and will receive credits for studies satisfactorily completed.

 

 

Year 13/Foundation Studies in Visual Art/Design

Practical units of study from the Diploma of Visual Arts may be taken as single studies by year 12 or post year 12 stu- dents. They can be taken in conjunction with one or more VCE Unit 3 and 4 studies according to individual needs and direction. Students successfully completing these units will receive a TAFE certificate that will entitle them to exemption from those studies at other Institutes of TAFE.
