Welcome to Swinburne Senior Secondary College’s website. Regardless of whether you

As one of only ten senior government secondary colleges in Victoria, Swinburne Senior
Secondary College is a unique educational
institution. Importantly, Swinburne Senior enrols students in Years 11 and 12 only.
Consequently we specialise in teaching the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE),
the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and Vocational Education and
Training (VET) in a young adult learning environment.
Our college motto is Educating Individuals. We aspire to provide our students with
a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages them to be the young adult
that they want to be. They are encouraged to be independent, thoughtful and creative
young people as they navigate their way through adolescence into adulthood. The
three values that the college maintains as essential to a person functioning successfully
in a modern society are respect, responsibility and commitment. Young people at
Swinburne Senior are encouraged to make good decisions based around these values
in their day to day activities and programs and in their general lives.
